Eric A. Birken, M.D. - Board
Certified Otolaryngologist
Dr.
Eric Birken is board certified in the specialty of Otolaryngology
and Head and Neck Surgery. He graduated from Boston University
School of Medicine in 1968 and the Otolaryngology Residency
Program at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City in
1974. In addition, he was a Research Fellow in Head and Neck
Surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. Before moving to this
area in 1976, he served as Chief of Otolaryngology at the
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center in Dayton,
Ohio.
Dr. Birken is the past president of the Ontario County Medical
Society and is their present Secretary-Treasurer. He is the
past president of the medical staff at Clifton Springs Hospital,
current president of the Clifton Springs Profession Organization,
and a current member of the Board of Trustees of the Clifton
Springs Hospital. In addition, he is the former Chairman
of the Department of Surgery at F. F. Thompson Hospital and
Associate Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at University
of Rochester and a adjunct faculty member of Rochester Institute
of Technology in the Physician Assistants program.He is the
recipient of the Academy of Otolaryngology Distinguished Achievement
Award.

Jay A. Yates, M.D. -
Board Certified Otolaryngologist
Dr.
Jay Yates is board certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck
Surgery. He was born and raised in Oregon and later relocated
to Oklahoma. In 1989 he earned his Bachelors of Science in
Biology and Chemistry from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa,
OK. He graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine
in1993, and then completed his residency in Otolaryngology,
Head and Neck Surgery at Penn State Geisinger Health System
in 1998. He went into private practice at the Susquehanna
Health Care System in Williamsport, PA until relocating to
the Fingerlakes area in 2001. He is married with three children.
His wife, Heidi Piper M.D, is a native of Victor, NY. She
is a vitrea-retinal surgeon who practices at the Eye Care
Center in Canandaigua, NY.
Dr. Yates specializes in diseases of the head
and neck with experience in pediatric and adult otology, endoscopic
sinus surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck
oncology, otolaryngic allergy, snoring and sleep disorders,
and facial plastic surgery. He is an adjunct clinical faculty
member of the Rochester Institute of Technology Physician
Assistant Program and a member of numerous local, region and
national medical societies.

Srinivas R. Kaza. M.D. -

Dr.
Srinivas R. Kaza is board certified in the field of Otolaryngology-
Head and Neck Surgery. He grew up in Delaware and graduated
as the Valedictorian of Dover High School in 1988. He was
accepted into the accelerated Honors Program in Medical Education
at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He completed his
undergraduate education in 1991 and graduated from Northwestern
University Medical School in 1995. Dr. Kaza then completed
a residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the
Penn State Geisinger Medical Center in 2000. He was in private
practice for 3 ½ years in Delaware after creating KMG-ENT
& Allergy. He joined Lakeside Ear, Nose, Throat, and Allergy
after relocating to the Finger Lakes region in 2004 . Dr.
Kaza is married with two children. His wife, Lesley A. James
MD, is a Family Medicine physician.
Dr. Kaza specializes in the medical and surgical
management of head and neck diseases . His special areas
of interest are rhinology, diseases of the sinuses and endoscopic
sinus surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, otolaryngic
allergy, pediatric otolaryngology, snoring and sleep disorders,
diseases of the salivary glands, and head & neck oncology, head and neck imaging technology, and information technology in medicine. He is an adjunct clinical faculty
member of the Rochester Institute of Technology Physician
Assistant Program and the current Chairman
of the Department of Surgery at F. F. Thompson Hospital.

Jamie Sturm is a board certified Physician Assistant of New York State. She was born in Auburn, NY and graduated as the Salutatorian of her class at Union Springs High School in 2003. She then attended Rochester Institute of Technology where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree as a Physician Assistant with a concentration in American Sign Language and Communications in 2007. She currently resides in Canandaigua, NY.
Jamie was trained during her fourth year at RIT at various medical offices and hospitals including, Rochester General Hospital, Auburn Pediatrics, Aaron Manor Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, Lakeside ENT, Greece Dermatological Associates, Auburn OB/GYN, Noyes Memorial Hospital, Newcomb Health Center, and Unity Hospital.
